'Dune' Seascape Lampshade
Applique Linen Lamp Shade
‘Dune’ is one of a new collection of lampshades designed and made by me using a collage of beautiful linens and printed fabrics, to create an evocative seascape with grey sky, deep blue sea, sands and grass fringed, wind swept dunes.
A 20cm diameter shade is depicted.
These seascape shades are best suited to lamps, the lower portion of the shades being darker when illuminated and so emitting less light. They make beautiful mood lighting.
I make these shades to a ‘recipe’ of fabrics and measurements, each one will be slightly different with varyingprinted pattern and fringing etc. Seams will not necessarily match but I will try to create a consistent ‘skyline’.
The seams are slightly bulkier than the norm due to layering of the fabrics, but these are strongly glued (as with all my shades), so you can be sure they will not gape over time.
Made with my regular stock of fabrics, co-ordinating shades are available in plain linens- stone grey, mid blue, cream and printed-’Breeze’ blue.
